Introduction
PDQ Wealth conducted a client satisfaction survey during the month of September, 2010. The survey was conducted on-line and facilitated by Constant Contact, a vendor of on-line survey services.
The survey was sent to participants who are clients of PDQ Wealth, and have been on the pdq plan for at least one month and up to and including 4 years.
The results in this report are based on a client response rate of 24%. With 1 out of 4 clients responding, it is safe to project these results to the entire client base within a reasonable margin of error. Accuracy is estimated to be +/- 8%, 19 times out of 20.
The report is unaudited. Every effort has been made to retain the integrity of the data and accurately reflect the comments of the participants. Some comments have been edited for brevity.
Client survey results show strong satisfaction with PDQ’s financial plan—credible insights, clear value, and proven impact.
Summary of Results
The following are highlights of the client satisfaction survey.
Over 91% of clients said they were comfortable talking to someone they know about PDQ Wealth.
The following are random responses to the question:
“In your opinion, what does being on the pdq plan do for you?”
- “gives us a long term objective to work towards and motivation to stick to the plan”
- “means I get to be mortgage free sooner”
- “to be able to retire before 65 and not having to watch every penny I spend”
- “It gives me effective cash flow….”
- “provides us with the satisfaction that we are doing everything we can to pay down quickly and build financial wealth for future retirement years”
Over 83% of clients strongly agree that PDQ Wealth is meeting their expectations.
Clients’ rated their level of satisfaction with PDQ Wealth:
Overall, the satisfaction rating on all factors averaged at 85%. The ratings on specific factors are as follows:
- 83% are satisfied to very satisfied on the overall level of client service
- 84% are satisfied to very satisfied on the overall value of the pdq plan
- 91% are satisfied to very satisfied on the ability to understand their needs
- 92% are satisfied to very satisfied on the level of professionalism
Comparing Customer Satisfaction
One of the best ways to add meaning to pdq FINANCIAL’s results is to do a comparison with others in the financial industry. The following graphs will compare customer satisfaction results with Canada’s retail banks and with the investment advisors segment of the industry.
It’s important to note that an 85% rating is when 3/4 of customers “definitely will” recommend their financial institution (Source: J.D. Power and Associates).
As the graph indicates, pdq FINANCIAL’s satisfaction rating of 85% is a full 12% higher than the average of Canada’s retail banks.

Customer satisfaction with Investment Advisors:
The following graph depicts where advisors stand with existing clients on two important factors – with a head-to-head comparison to PDQ Wealth.
As you can see, PDQ Wealth’s rating is DOUBLE that of advisors when it comes to “meeting clients expectations” and a full 10% higher than advisors with respect to clients being “very satisfied with service”.

Detailed Results of PDQ Wealth Client Satisfaction Survey
Clients were asked to rate their level of satisfaction with PDQ Wealth on a number of factors. The chart below shows the results as a “rating score” from 1 to 5, with 5 being the highest.
As you can see, PDQ Wealth rated very high on all factors, but especially with respect to professionalism and overall value of the pdq plan (4.4 and 4.3 respectively)

Clients were asked if PDQ Wealth was meeting their expectations.
As the following graph demonstrates, over 83% of clients agreed that PDQ Wealth is in fact meeting their expectations

Here are a few client comments:
- ”Despite the recession, the financial plan is working”
- ”Reporting is too infrequent. Summary should be provided quarterly”
- ”Excellent job, and very professional. I trust the team”
- ”We feel that PDQ is on top of things with respect to our plan and pro-actively checks up on us and makes adjustments as necessary”
- ”The PDQ plan and PDQ team are helping us achieve our financial goals within the timeline that we have set out”
Clients were asked the following question:
“In your opinion, what does being on the pdq plan do for you?”
It’s interesting to note that responses ranged from effective cash-flow to becoming mortgage free sooner to building financial wealth. What follows is an overview of clients’ responses (edited for brevity and removal of duplicates):
- “gives us a long term objective to work towards and motivation to stick to the plan”
- “means I get to be mortgage free sooner”
- “means that the equity in my home is being put to good use instead of just sitting there”
- “pays down my mortgage quicker”
- “to be able to retire before 65 and not having to watch every penny I spend”
- “It helps me to pay through my mortgage much faster than I would otherwise. It focuses on the largest debt and not just investments”
- “It gives me effective cash flow….”
- “gives us a new way to looking at a traditional mortgage (i.e. not being stuck with it for 25 years!), gives us an opportunity to ‘use someone else’s money’ to further our own financial goals”
- “gives a very visible and immediate way to paying down our mortgage”
- “provides us with the satisfaction that we are doing everything we can to pay down quickly and build financial wealth for future retirement years”
Clients were asked to provide feedback on PDQ Wealth’s website (www.pdqfinancial.ca). The chart below details how clients rated the website.
- 80% of clients responding to the question rated the website Above Average to Well Above Average on ease of navigation and accuracy of information.
- 90% of clients rated “meeting their needs” as Average and above

One client commented:
“I especially appreciate the honesty in the content. Nothing is hidden and the principle of full disclosure is evident everywhere on the website.”
Clients were asked the following question:
“In your opinion, how or what could we improve to make PDQ Wealth better?”
The following comments articulate their ideas and suggestions:
- Ability to login on website and view account status in future
- Be advised on financial opportunities as they come up
- Email clients ahead of time to make appointments
- Develop better ways to communicate progress to clients
- Come up with better ways to streamline banking transactions
- A more timely delivery of the information required for income tax filing
- For each client, provide an activity summary of all accounts more frequently
Note: We appreciate these ideas and are working on implementing many of the suggestions.
Clients were asked if they have talked about PDQ Wealth to someone they know and if they are comfortable explaining the PDQ plan.
